Rahu Ketu Box Office: Pulkit Samrat-Varun Sharma Comedy Sees Small Spike, Still Struggles at the Ticket Counters
Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma’s latest comedy Rahu Ketu recorded a 25% jump on Tuesday, thanks largely to discounted ticket prices across cinema chains. The movie collected Rs 55 lakh on its fifth day, taking its total domestic earnings to Rs 4.85 crore.
Directed by Vipul Vig, the film had an ambitious mythological premise, but its content and comedy failed to connect strongly with audiences. Word-of-mouth remained average, which is reflected in its modest day-to-day collections. While Rahu Ketu performed slightly better than its rival release Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos, both movies’ fates were largely determined by their opening days.
With a major clash coming up against Sunny Deol’s Border 2, Rahu Ketu’s overall run is expected to wrap up around Rs 7–9 crore, as the blockbuster will take over most screens, pushing out holdover releases.
