Indian cricket star Virat Kohli is adding another chapter to his personal canvas. Ahead of the 2026 Indian Premier League, the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain has unveiled a new addition to his evolving arm sleeve tattoo. The artwork, shared by Aliens Tattoo studio, is a blend of multiple ideas coming together on the star cricketer’s arm.
Kohli Adds a New Lotus to His Sleeve
As the IPL season kicks off on March 28, 2026, Kohli has revealed a fresh tattoo on his arm. A longtime tattoo enthusiast, he’s been transforming his sleeve over time, turning scattered designs into a cohesive work of art. The process involved reworking older, faded tattoos while adding new elements for a purpose-driven, flowing design. The artists explained:
“Some parts needed to be covered, others refined, and much more needed to be added—to take scattered fragments and transform them into a single, cohesive sleeve that flows as one.”
The tattoo is still a work in progress. Multiple artists have been involved, and Kohli has been fitting sessions into his packed schedule. The final masterpiece is expected to take several more sittings.
The new lotus motif is especially symbolic, reflecting Kohli’s journey in sports. “A flower that rises from muddy waters, untouched by the filth it grows from, blooming with purity regardless of the environment it comes from,” the lotus represents resilience and growth—qualities that mirror his career.
RCB Ready to Defend Title
Off the ink, Kohli and RCB are gearing up for the new IPL season. This Saturday, they’ll face Sun Risers Hyderabad in the opener, aiming to defend their debut title after 18 years. With fresh ink and a renewed sense of purpose, Kohli is ready to lead his team back to glory.
