This Week in Entertainment: Dhurandhar Record Bookings, Bhoot Bangla Teaser, and Golmaal 5 Shoot Begins
From major teaser drops and film announcements to celebrity weddings and box office milestones, this week in entertainment had plenty to keep fans talking.
Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Dhurandhar: The Revenge made headlines with record-breaking paid preview bookings, while Akshay Kumar surprised fans with the teaser for Bhoot Bangla and confirmed that Golmaal 5 has officially begun shooting.
Internationally, Hollywood buzzed with the trailer launch of The Devil Wears Prada 2, while in the South, fans got a glimpse of Pawan Kalyan in the action-packed trailer of Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
Here are the biggest entertainment stories from the week.
1. Dhurandhar: The Revenge Sets Record for Paid Preview Bookings
Dhurandhar: The Revenge continued its impressive run in advance ticket sales for paid previews. The film added roughly ₹2 crore nett in a single day, pushing its total advance preview bookings to around ₹18.5 crore nett.
When South-dubbed versions are included, the total climbs to approximately ₹19 crore nett. As of this morning, more than 4.5 lakh tickets had already been sold, with about 2.7 lakh tickets coming from the two major national cinema chains—PVRINOX and Cinepolis.
If preview bookings had remained exclusive for the day, the film might have crossed the ₹20 crore mark. However, with weekend ticket sales now open, the pace of preview bookings could slow slightly.
Ticketing platform BookMyShow reported more than 10,000 ticket bookings per hour, a figure expected to rise as more audiences become aware of the sales.
2. Bhoot Bangla Teaser Finally Drops
Fans finally got their first look at Bhoot Bangla, the much-awaited collaboration between Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan. The film marks the duo’s reunion after 14 years, making the teaser even more exciting for longtime fans.
The 1-minute-23-second teaser opens with eerie visuals of a haunted palace and hints at a mysterious incident. A voiceover by Asrani warns that marriages never take place in the town of Mangalpur because a ghost named Vadhusur may return someday.
Soon after, characters played by Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav begin investigating the legend. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s character appears excited to acquire the haunted palace despite its dark history.
Mixing horror, comedy, romance, and chaos, the teaser promises a classic Priyadarshan-style entertainer. Bhoot Bangla is set to hit theatres on April 10, 2026.
3. Golmaal 5 Shoot Begins
On the birthday of filmmaker Rohit Shetty, Akshay Kumar surprised fans by announcing that the next installment of the beloved comedy franchise, Golmaal 5, has officially gone on floors.
Sharing a behind-the-scenes video on social media, the actor wrote:
“Happy Birthday Rohit. On your birthday, the madness just got bigger and louder. Excited to be joining this crazy family of Golmaal 5! Let the chaos begin!”
The video features familiar faces from the franchise including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor reminiscing about their journey with the series.
Sharman Joshi is also returning to the franchise, which first began with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006.
Akshay Kumar reportedly allocated 18 days in his schedule for filming the movie while also preparing for the release of Bhoot Bangla.
4. Celebrity Weddings: Kritika Kamra and Kuldeep Yadav Tie the Knot
Actor Kritika Kamra married television presenter Gaurav Kapur on March 11, 2026, in an intimate ceremony at their residence in Mumbai.
The wedding was attended by several celebrity friends including Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Farhan Akhtar and Angad Bedi, who were seen dancing to Forever as the couple made their entrance.
Meanwhile, Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav married his longtime partner Vanshika Chadha on March 14, 2026, in a grand ceremony in Mussoorie.

5. Ustaad Bhagat Singh Trailer Released
The much-awaited trailer for Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, has finally been released ahead of its March 19, 2026 theatrical debut.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the 2-minute-14-second trailer introduces Pawan Kalyan as Bhagat Singh, a fearless cop determined to fight injustice.
The film also features Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna in key roles. Packed with action, emotional moments, and fan-service sequences, the trailer has already sparked excitement among the actor’s fanbase.
