Speaking about his role in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor calls Lord Rama the ‘conscience keeper of billions.’

Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming epic Ramayana has quickly become one of the most talked-about films in Bollywood, thanks to its star-studded cast. Masala Buzz has learned exclusively that the makers plan to release a special glimpse of the movie on April 2, 2026. But before that, the team traveled to the West to showcase the film’s first visuals to an international audience. During the event, Ranbir Kapoor shared his thoughts on portraying Lord Rama.

The internet is buzzing with pictures and videos from Ranbir Kapoor’s recent trip to Los Angeles. At the Ramayana event, he was joined by director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra. Together, they presented a key visual asset of the film to a select audience.

Speaking at the event, Ranbir said,

“Lord Rama has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries, and he will continue being so long after we are gone.”

He went on to explain,

“He teaches us about the triumph of the human spirit in adversity. He stands for compassion, courage, righteousness, and forgiveness. He is called Maryada Purushottam, which represents the ideal man.”


What to Expect from the April 2 Glimpse

According to insiders, the upcoming release will focus on introducing the world of Ramayana through its characters. “It’s more personal and rooted in how each role has been envisioned. The scale and action will be explored in a separate asset that will come in a couple of months,” a source shared. The glimpse will coincide with Hanuman Jayanti, showcasing the cast in their respective roles.
