Samantha Ruth Prabhu Opens Up About Love, Life, and Raj Nidimoru After Divorce

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s personal life has often been in the spotlight, from her wedding to Naga Chaitanya to their eventual separation. Her love story with Raj Nidimoru has also attracted attention, but the actress says things feel very different this time. In a candid chat with Vogue India, Samantha opened up about how her second marriage has changed her for the better.

How Raj Nidimoru Changed Her Life

Reflecting on her past, Samantha admitted that after her high-profile divorce, she wasn’t sure she could ever open up to love again. Speaking about her current husband, the actress said:

“When I went through a separation, I closed up completely. I didn’t think it would ever be possible to rely on someone else. Thankfully, I was vulnerable enough to accept that kind of love and friendship. And I’m a much better person because of the relationship I’m in. Because of the person Raj (Nidimoru) is.”

She credited Raj with helping her feel more grounded and at peace. Friends have noticed the change too. Samantha shared a touching anecdote about reconnecting with an old friend, who later sent her a voice note saying:

“This is the first time in a long time that I feel like you’re not struggling to breathe.”

The actress agreed, adding:

“I’m not performing anymore.”

Life After Naga Chaitanya

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s journey began in 2010, culminating in a wedding in Goa on October 6, 2017. However, after years of speculation, they announced their separation on October 2, 2021. Naga later married actress Sobhita Dhulipala in 2024.

For Samantha, the period following the split was one of self-reflection and growth.

A New Chapter With Raj Nidimoru

Samantha was later linked to Raj Nidimoru, the filmmaker behind The Family Man Season 2 and one-half of the renowned duo Raj & DK. The couple tied the knot on December 1, 2025, in a Linga Bhairava Vivaha ceremony at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore.

Speaking about this new chapter, Samantha’s words make it clear: her marriage has brought not just love, but also a renewed sense of freedom and authenticity.

“I’m a much better person now,” she says, and it shows—both in her personal life and in how she carries herself publicly.
