Rashmika Mandanna on Sikandar: How A.R. Murugadoss Tweaked the Script Midway
Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s 2025 action drama, Sikandar, won over a section of the audience, but the film’s journey to the screen wasn’t exactly straightforward. In a recent interview with Telugu journalist Prema, Rashmika revealed that director A.R. Murugadoss altered the script during filming.
“I remember talking to Murugadoss sir, and of course, later what happened was very different. But when I first heard the script, it was quite a different story,” she said. Rashmika explained that such changes are common in filmmaking, often influenced by actor performances, editing, and even the timing of the release. “Things change, and that is very common. So that happened with Sikandar,” she added.
Speaking about her experience working with Salman Khan, Rashmika described it as “nerve-wracking.” While her previous Hindi films were performance-driven, Sikandar marked her first major commercial Bollywood heroine role. She shared her excitement, saying, “I’m really thrilled. I don’t want to be typecast—I don’t want to be known only for performance-oriented roles.”
On the personal front, Rashmika has exciting news for fans: she is set to marry South superstar Vijay Deverakonda on February 26, 2026, at a palace in Udaipur, surrounded by close friends and family. Professionally, she will next be seen in Cocktail 2.
