Ranbir Kapoor Confirms ‘Animal Park’ Shoot to Start in 2027: “Very Exciting Project”
Ranbir Kapoor has given fans a fresh update on Animal Park, the much-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Animal, confirming that the film is still a few years away from hitting the floors.
In a recent interview with Deadline Hollywood, Ranbir explained that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently focused on his next project, Spirit, starring Prabhas. Only after completing that film will Vanga turn his attention to Animal Park, with production tentatively slated for 2027.
“The director is right now making another film. We should start that film in 2027. It’s a bit away,” Ranbir said.
When asked about the script and how much more his character will evolve, he shared that Vanga is planning a three-part story, with the second installment titled Animal Park.
“We’ve been sharing ideas since the first film. It’s exciting because now I get to play two characters—both the antagonist and the protagonist,” Ranbir revealed. “He just kind of flirted with what he really wants to do with the movie. Extremely exciting project and an extremely original director. I’m very excited to be a part of it.”
For fans wondering how he plays both roles, Ranbir explained that the antagonist undergoes plastic surgery, becoming a body double of the protagonist. This twist allows him to portray both sides of the story.
