The wait is over. The makers of Ramayana have finally unveiled a teaser giving audiences their first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, one of the most enduring figures in storytelling. The teaser, introduced by producer Namit Malhotra, has fans across the globe buzzing with excitement.

A Humble Take on an Iconic Role

Speaking about stepping into the shoes of Lord Rama, Ranbir Kapoor said:
“I don’t think I’m here to represent Rama. I’m here to learn from him. There is a simplicity and purity to him that is very rare, and trying to understand and imbibe that has been a deeply humbling experience.”

The actor’s words reflect the depth of the role, capturing not just the grandeur of the character but also his timeless humanity.

A Cinematic Vision Rooted in Emotion

Director Nitesh Tiwari shared his perspective on the epic project:
“Ramayana’s greatness lies in its emotional richness. At its heart, it is not just about good and evil, but about choices, consequences, and the weight of doing what is right. Rama’s journey is deeply human, and that is what we have tried to stay true to.”

Producer Namit Malhotra added:
“The power of Rama’s story is not in what he conquers, but in what he lets go of. He represents a standard that is not easy, not convenient, but necessary. He chooses duty over desire, truth over comfort, and sacrifice over self. That is why his story has endured for thousands of years, and why it continues to matter today.”

A Star-Studded Ensemble

The two-part cinematic epic is one of the most ambitious Indian film projects to date. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, the cast includes:

  • Yash as Ravana

  • Sai Pallavi as Sita

  • Sunny Deol as Hanuman

  • Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana

The film is produced by Prime Focus Studios, in association with DNEG, the eight-time Academy Award-winning visual effects studio, and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

World-Class Music and Storytelling

Adapted by award-winning screenwriter Shridhar Raghavan, the epic features music by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, promising a cinematic experience that blends visual spectacle with emotional resonance.

Based on the timeless writings of Valmiki, Ramayana Part 1 is set to release globally during Diwali 2026, with Part 2 currently in production for a Diwali 2027 release.

The Legacy Continues

With its mix of stunning visuals, a stellar cast, and timeless storytelling, the Ramayana teaser has already sparked global excitement. Fans are eagerly awaiting a cinematic journey that promises to honor the legend of Lord Rama while bringing it alive for a modern audience.
