Actors Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh are all set to share screen space in an intense drama that revolves around ambition, love, and greed. The makers recently revealed that the film, titled Raftaar and directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, will arrive in cinemas on July 24, 2026.
Raftaar release date revealed
The announcement was made a short while ago through social media, where the makers unveiled a poster featuring the film’s title. Along with it, they wrote, “Ambition built it. Greed will test it. #Raftaar, releasing on July 24, at a theatre near you.” The post confirmed that Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh will headline the high-stakes drama. Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, the film is produced by Patralekhaa under the banner of Kampa Films.
The project is backed by Amazon MGM Studios, with Tarun Bali serving as the executive producer. Apart from the lead pair, the film also features Anurag Thakur, Rohan Verma, Tanya Maniktala, and Rajat Kapoor in key roles. The story and screenplay have been written by Rohan Narula.
Rajkummar Rao’s work front
While Raftaar is scheduled to release in July, Rajkummar Rao also has another project titled Toaster in the pipeline, though its release date is yet to be confirmed. Directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary, the comedy film stars Rao alongside Sanya Malhotra. Similar to Raftaar, the project is produced by Rao and his wife Patralekhaa under Kampa Films, marking her debut as a film producer.
According to reports, the story follows a miserly man who becomes strangely obsessed with a toaster he once gifted to a newlywed couple. His unusual fixation eventually leads him down an unpredictable and dangerous path. The film also features an ensemble cast including Archana Puran Singh, Upendra Limaye, Farah Khan, Abhishek Banerjee, Jitendra Joshi, and Seema Pahwa.
Keerthy Suresh’s work front
Keerthy Suresh, a National Award-winning actor from the South Indian film industry, recently made her Hindi debut with Baby John alongside Varun Dhawan. Although the film didn’t perform well at the box office, audiences are optimistic about her upcoming projects. Apart from Raftaar, she also has several films lined up across Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu cinema.
