Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge Set for Grand Eid Release, PVR INOX to Handle Major Indian Markets
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, the highly anticipated spy action drama starring Ranveer Singh, is gearing up for a spectacular theatrical release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Eid weekend. Directed by Aditya Dhar and backed by Jio Studios, the makers are pulling out all the stops to make this sequel a major box office event.
For its release in India, PVR INOX has locked the distribution rights for four key territories: Central Provinces & Berar, Central India, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Interestingly, the same chain handled the first installment in these markets, including Rajasthan, contributing to the blockbuster success of the original.
The first Dhurandhar became a historic hit, emerging as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, with a lifetime collection of around Rs 787 crore. Even after its digital release, the movie continues to draw audiences in cinemas, demonstrating its lasting appeal.
Unlike the first film, the sequel will release in Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions, which is expected to further boost box office numbers in South India. The star-studded cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun, adding even more excitement for fans.
The sequel will clash with Toxic, Yash’s gangster action drama, making the upcoming weeks especially interesting at the box office. It remains to be seen whether Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge can replicate the glory of the original.
