Priyanka Chopra Shares Exciting Update on S.S. Rajamouli’s Varanasi

After seven years away from Indian cinema, Priyanka Chopra is making a grand comeback with S. S. Rajamouli’s highly anticipated pan-Indian film Varanasi. Fans couldn’t be more thrilled.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Chopra opened up about the scale of the project and just how much of the film is still in the works.

Long Shoot, Big Ambitions

Chopra revealed that the team has been filming for 14 months already, with another six months still to go. “So, that’s 20 months of filming. Go big or go home,” she said. Clearly, the film is being shot on a massive scale, with stars like Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran adding to the excitement.

She also praised Rajamouli, saying, “He is one of India’s most amazingly talented directors, and it’s going to be an adventure. I am very excited about it.”

Balancing Hollywood and Bollywood

Over the past year, Priyanka has been skillfully juggling her Hollywood and Indian projects. While shooting for her recent film The Bluff, she frequently traveled to Hyderabad to keep up with her commitments for Varanasi.

Now that The Bluff is streaming on OTT platforms, Chopra can fully focus on finishing the remaining portions of Varanasi, much to the delight of her fans eagerly awaiting her return to Indian screens.

In short: after years away, Priyanka Chopra is back, and she’s going all out — 20 months of filming, a star-studded cast, and a mega-director at the helm. Bollywood fans are in for quite the ride.
