Actress Rashmika Mandanna celebrated her 30th birthday on April 5, 2026. To mark the occasion, the makers of Ranabaali released a special behind-the-scenes (BTS) video that offers a glimpse into her transformation into the character Jayamma. The clip highlights the dedication and intricate work that went into shaping her role. The film also features Vijay Deverakonda in a key role.

The video begins with the line, “In a world painted in grey… she was his only color,” and continues with a heartfelt birthday message: “Celebrating the strength of Ranabaali – Jayamma. Happy birthday, Rashmika Mandanna.” It also shows the actress interacting with the crew before stepping into character, complete with traditional touches like a bindi, sarees, and gold jewellery.

Joining the celebrations, Vijay Deverakonda took to social media to post the BTS video, expressing his affection in a simple yet meaningful way. He captioned it, “I love you, Jayamma.”

Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna was seen at the Hyderabad airport with her husband and in-laws as they headed off for a birthday vacation. Before departing, she even celebrated with the paparazzi by cutting a cake.

About the film Ranabaali

Following the wedding of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, the makers unveiled the first look of their upcoming action film Ranabaali. The poster introduced their characters, Ranabaali and Jayamma, and was accompanied by the release of the song Endhayya Saami, delighting fans. The film is slated for a grand worldwide release on September 11, 2026.

Ranabaali marks the third collaboration between the duo after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is a period drama set during the British Raj. Notably, Arnold Vosloo, known for The Mummy, will also be making his debut in Indian cinema with this project.
