Chiranjeevi is set to collaborate once again with director Bobby Kolli for their upcoming film, tentatively titled Mega158. While the project was announced earlier, it now appears that production is gearing up to begin soon.
Shoot likely to begin in April 2026
According to reports, the film will kick off with a grand pooja ceremony on April 11, 2026, followed by the start of principal photography around April 20. The shoot was initially planned to begin earlier but was delayed due to Chiranjeevi undergoing knee surgery.
Backed by KVN Productions, the film is expected to feature cinematography by Nimish Ravi, with music composed by Thaman S. Though further details remain under wraps, the project is said to be a gangster action drama with strong emotional elements.
There were also earlier reports suggesting that Mohanlal might play a key role alongside Chiranjeevi. However, recent buzz indicates that he may have opted out due to remuneration-related issues, though no official confirmation has been made.
Mega158 marks the second collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli after their 2023 hit Waltair Veerayya.
