Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas stepped into a whole new chapter of their lives when they became parents to their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Since then, their little girl has become the heart of their world—a constant source of joy and grounding amid their otherwise busy, high-profile lives.

A Peek Into Malti’s World

After long, demanding days, Priyanka and Nick often say that coming home to Malti makes everything feel better. Born on January 15, 2022, she not only brought immense happiness but also strengthened their bond as a couple.

In a conversation with Jay Shetty, Nick opened up about the emotional early days. Malti was born prematurely and spent nearly 110 days in the hospital before finally coming home.

“We got to the hospital, and she came out 1 pound, 11 ounces and purple basically,” Nick shared.

He also revealed that he and Priyanka took turns doing nearly 12-hour shifts at the hospital every day for over three months. After multiple blood transfusions and a long wait, they were finally able to bring her home—a moment they’ll never forget.

A Name Full of Meaning

Malti’s name carries deep family significance. It honors both sides of her family—her paternal grandmother, Denise Marie Miller Jonas, and her maternal grandmother, Dr. Madhumalti Chopra.

A Blend of Cultures

Even though Malti is growing up abroad, she’s closely connected to her Indian roots. Thanks to Priyanka, she’s already familiar with many traditions and customs.

From visiting temples on special occasions to keeping a soft toy of Lord Ganesha close, enjoying Indian food, and wearing traditional outfits—Malti is growing up with a strong sense of her heritage.

Music, Hobbies, and Family Time

It’s no surprise that Malti is already showing an interest in music, given her parents’ backgrounds. During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Priyanka shared that one of Malti’s favorite songs is “APT.”

Beyond music, she’s also exploring activities like karate and piano—signs of a curious and energetic little personality.

When she visited India for her uncle Sidharth Chopra’s wedding, she quickly bonded with family members. Her grandmother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, shared that Malti felt completely at ease, happily interacting with everyone around her.

At just four years old, Malti Marie is already growing up surrounded by love, culture, and creativity—right at the center of Priyanka and Nick’s world.
