Mardaani 3 collects Rs 25 crore in opening week; Rani Mukerji’s cop drama holds steady

Rani Mukerji is back in action with Mardaani 3, the latest installment of the popular investigative crime thriller franchise, and the film has made a decent start at the box office. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the movie showed a promising debut weekend and managed to maintain a fair hold during the weekdays.

On Day 7, the film collected around Rs 1.75 crore, a 10% drop from Day 6. While the weekday performance dipped slightly below the Rs 2 crore mark on Thursday, the film still managed to cross a total of Rs 25 crore nett in its first week, setting a solid foundation for the second weekend.

To match the success of its predecessors, Mardaani 3 will need a strong second weekend to push its total to around Rs 45 crore nett, roughly on par with Mardaani 2’s lifetime collection. Analysts say the target is achievable, especially with no major competition until the release of O’ Romeo.
