by masalabuzz

Salman Khan recently unveiled a teaser of the romantic track from his upcoming film Maatrubhumi, which was earlier titled Battle of Galwan. The song features Salman Khan alongside Chitrangda Singh, marking their first on-screen pairing. Titled Chand Dekh Lena, the melody is sung by Nihal Tauro and Ankona Mukherjee, with music composed by Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics penned by Sameer Anjaan.

Sharing the teaser on social media, Salman wrote, “Maatrubhumi ka yeh gana, Chand dekh lena tumhey hum nazar aayenge.”

The brief 22-second teaser shows Chitrangda Singh’s character waiting for her husband to return from the battlefield. It then cuts to Salman Khan arriving to surprise her, followed by a romantic moment as he begins to groove to the song. The clip concludes with a slate announcing that the full track will be released soon.

The teaser release comes shortly after the film underwent a title change. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the project is now titled Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace. Explaining the decision, the director shared on Instagram that the change was not sudden. He revealed that both titles—Battle of Galwan and Maatrubhumi—were registered from the beginning, but as the film evolved, the team felt the story went beyond just a battle.

According to him, the film focuses on themes of humanity, empathy, and the unseen struggles of soldiers. He added that Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace better captures the emotional depth and sacrifices portrayed in the story. The title also resonates with a song in the film that has already received positive responses, making it feel even more fitting.

After Maatrubhumi, Salman Khan is reportedly set to star in a large-scale action film directed by Vamsi Paidipally under Dil Raju’s production. The project is expected to begin in April 2026. Additionally, he is said to be in discussions with Raj and DK for a superhero action-comedy drama, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
