Manish Malhotra lost his beloved mother, Sudarshan Malhotra, on March 19, 2026. She passed away peacefully at the age of 94, leaving behind a deep void in his life. During this difficult time, several members of the film industry stood firmly by his side.

At her funeral held in Mumbai on March 20, many Bollywood personalities, including Karan Johar, David Dhawan, Vijay Varma, and Rakul Preet Singh, arrived to pay their final respects.

Following the sad demise, Manish Malhotra shared an emotional note, expressing gratitude for his mother’s long and fulfilling life. He described her passing as peaceful and highlighted the legacy of love, memories, and values she leaves behind for future generations.

The family invited close ones to join them for the last rites on March 20 at 10 am in Santa Cruz West, Mumbai.

As expected, several well-known faces from the industry attended the funeral. Veteran filmmaker David Dhawan was seen entering the venue, followed by Karan Johar, who arrived in a traditional white outfit.

Others present included Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Rakul Preet Singh with Jackky Bhagnani, Vijay Varma, Karan Tacker, Divyenndu Sharma, Saiyami Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ronit Roy along with his son, and Sharib Hashmi, among others.

Celebrities extend support to the grieving family

After the news of her passing, many Bollywood celebrities visited Manish Malhotra at his Mumbai residence to offer condolences. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan arrived together, while new parents Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra also paid a visit.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha were among those who stood by him during this emotional time.

Several others, including Varun Dhawan with Natasha Dalal, Ananya Panday, Raveena Tandon, Zoya Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Sonali Bendre, Karisma Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Alizeh Agnihotri, and Punit Malhotra also visited to offer their support and condolences.
