Recently, rumors suggested that the film had been temporarily paused so the team could perfect the multiple looks of the superstar. But now, the makers have stepped in to set the record straight: the film is progressing as planned.
Official clarification from the makers
On April 8, 2026, Mythri Movie Makers took to their official Twitter (X) handle to squash the rumors. Their statement read:
“There is absolutely no truth to the rumours circulating about the look or any schedule cancellation. The film is progressing as planned, with only a routine preparation gap. We request everyone not to believe or spread unverified information. Official updates will always come from us.”
The rumors had started after a report claimed that filming had been paused because Jr. NTR and Prashanth Neel were not satisfied with the actor’s multiple looks. But the makers have clarified that no such pause has occurred.
Star-studded cast
While Jr. NTR leads the film, Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor will make a high-profile return to Telugu cinema as the main antagonist. Kapoor even hinted at his involvement on social media, sharing a poster of Dragon with the caption:
“One has landed, the rest two are lining up. #Dragon”
