The makers and fans of Jana Nayagan were left shocked after scenes from Thalapathy Vijay’s final film were leaked on social media. Several visuals from the much-awaited action thriller began circulating online, prompting the film’s legal team to issue a strong warning against illegal downloading and viewing.
Jana Nayagan team cautions public against piracy
Jana Nayagan, touted as Thalapathy Vijay’s last film, recently grabbed headlines after its footage was leaked online. As clips quickly went viral, the makers responded with a strict statement addressing the issue.
In an official notice, the legal representatives of KVN Productions LLP expressed their “shock and concern” over the unauthorized access, downloading, copying, and distribution of scenes from the film. They emphasized that the project has been made with an investment of several hundred crores and holds immense value across theatrical, satellite, OTT, and other commercial platforms.
The statement further warned that engaging with the leaked content—whether by downloading, sharing, uploading, reposting, or storing it on platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, torrents, or any other medium—constitutes a serious criminal offence and copyright violation. It also made clear that individuals involved in such activities would face legal consequences.
The team confirmed that action has already been taken against the individual responsible for initially leaking the footage. They added that further legal proceedings are underway against others involved in spreading the content.
Concluding the notice, the makers urged the public to refrain from engaging with any leaked material related to Jana Nayagan. They warned that anyone found participating in such activities going forward would face immediate civil and criminal action.
The film features Thalapathy Vijay in the lead, alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, and Priyamani. Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan was initially slated for release on January 9, 2026, but faced delays due to certification issues.
