It goes without saying that Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain remains one of the most popular sitcoms on television. The show was revamped a few months ago, with Shilpa Shinde returning as Angoori for its second season. Over the years, it has received tremendous love from viewers, but now there are reports suggesting it may go off-air. According to recent updates, Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain 2 could be discontinued due to major changes at &TV.
Amid the speculation, Aasif Sheikh confirmed that the sitcom will move to the OTT platform ZEE5. Speaking to Variety India, the actor—best known for playing Vibhuti—said that the cast and crew were informed about this digital shift about a month ago, though he is unaware of the ongoing media reports.
In an earlier interview, Aasif shared that he is content with the move to streaming. He noted that what matters most is that audiences continue watching the show, adding that with long working hours and commutes, viewers now prefer accessing their favorite content conveniently on mobile screens.
For those unaware, &TV is reportedly planning to halt the production of new content. Sources suggest that the cast may shoot their final episode on April 5, after which the channel could transition into a paid rerun format starting May 2026—meaning no new shows will be aired, only repeats. Since the news surfaced, fans have been left disappointed.
At present, the show features Rohitash Gour, Aasif Sheikh, Shilpa Shinde, and Vidhisha, with Rohitash and Aasif being part of the series since its inception.
