Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos Struggles at the Box Office, Collects Rs. 4.45 Crore in 5 Days
Aamir Khan Productions’ latest venture, Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos, starring Vir Das, has failed to click with audiences, reflected in its underwhelming box office numbers. After a rough Monday, the spy comedy saw another low on Tuesday, collecting just Rs. 30 lakh across India.
Usually, Tuesdays bring steady or slightly improved collections as ticket prices drop, but Happy Patel didn’t see any boost. With a total of Rs. 4.45 crore net in five days, industry analysts predict the film will likely wrap up its theatrical run around Rs. 6-7 crore, barely making a mark.
Despite Aamir Khan’s creative marketing efforts, the film’s promotional content failed to generate enough buzz. Coupled with average word-of-mouth, the spy comedy couldn’t maintain momentum after its initial weekend.
Day-wise Box Office Collections:
| Day | Collection |
|---|---|
| 1 | Rs. 1.10 cr |
| 2 | Rs. 1.25 cr |
| 3 | Rs. 1.40 cr |
| 4 | Rs. 0.40 cr |
| 5 | Rs. 0.30 cr |
| Total | Rs. 4.45 cr net |
The film features stand-up comedian Vir Das in the lead, with Mithila Palkar, Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi, and others in supporting roles. Fans were also treated to special appearances by Imran Khan and Aamir Khan.
While the concept of a spy comedy had potential, Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos struggled to hold audience attention, making it one of the rare Aamir Khan Productions projects that didn’t translate its star power into box office success.
