Dhurandhar Continues Record Run, Crosses ₹776 Crore in Seventh Weekend
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is showing no signs of slowing down, even in its seventh weekend. The film collected approximately ₹7.50 crore nett over the weekend in India, narrowly missing the seventh-week record of ₹8.75 crore held by Stree 2. Notably, Sunday outperformed Friday by more than double, highlighting strong weekend growth despite slower weekdays.
The film’s total box office has now risen to ₹776 crore nett, and it is projected to reach around ₹780 crore nett by the end of this week. The release of Border 2 is expected to slow its run, with Dhurandhar likely finishing near ₹790 crore nett—just shy of the ₹800 crore benchmark that has eluded it. Nevertheless, it remains the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in India, and was the first Bollywood movie to cross ₹700 crore nett.
In terms of audience footfalls, Dhurandhar is approaching 3.50 crore, making it the first Bollywood film to reach that level since Dangal (considering the Hindi version alone). While surpassing Dangal now seems unlikely, the strong footfall numbers show that audiences are still flocking to see big films, even as box office dynamics have changed since the 2010s.
There is some discussion about whether Dhurandhar should be classified as an all-time blockbuster. While it narrowly misses the ₹800 crore mark, it has still set impressive milestones in both collections and footfalls, with strong initial week earnings helping its overall tally.
