Ranveer Singh’s latest release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has emerged as a massive box office success, drawing praise from across the film industry. However, amid the celebrations, chatter around Deepika Padukone’s apparent “silence” on the film had been gaining attention online.
Putting the speculation to rest, Deepika responded to a social media reel questioning whether her silence was intentional or being overanalyzed. In her signature witty style, she commented, “The latter my friend… P.S. I watched it way before any of you did. Now who is the joke on?”
Her response comes after the film reportedly crossed ₹1500 crore at the global box office. By her own admission, she had already watched the film much earlier, hinting that her support didn’t need public display.
Fans quickly rallied behind her, pushing back against the narrative. Many pointed out that not all support needs to be showcased online, while others urged people to respect her personal space.
Although she hadn’t posted about the sequel until now, Deepika had previously shown her support for the first installment. Back in December 2025, she praised the film and her husband’s performance on social media, applauding both Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar for their work.
Her latest remark has now effectively shut down speculation, reinforcing the idea that social media activity doesn’t always reflect real-life support.
