Ahan Shetty Opens Up on Comparisons with Ahaan Panday Ahead of Border 2

After his debut in Tadap, Ahan Shetty is making a much-anticipated return to the big screen with Anurag Singh’s Border 2. Ahead of the release, the actor spoke candidly about comparisons with fellow newcomer Ahaan Panday, who impressed audiences last year with Saiyaara.

In an interview with Bombay Times, Ahan said that in today’s social media-driven world, people tend to react to a 2-3 second clip, which often leads to unnecessary comparisons. “We’re being put up against each other,” he said, adding, “There’s no competition between us. We have our own careers. There is so much love and respect among us, and that is what needs to come out.” He emphasized that despite what online chatter might suggest, he and Ahaan Panday support each other as colleagues in the same industry.

Reflecting on his career, Ahan shared that his journey since Tadap hasn’t been easy. On facing the ongoing nepotism debate in Bollywood, he said, “I focus on giving my director and producer my 200 per cent. The noise doesn’t affect me.”

Ahan also revealed his cinematic wish list, expressing a desire to be part of his father Suniel Shetty’s iconic Hera Pheri franchise. He added, “Fortunately, I am part of Border 2, which was one of dad’s films that I have always been inspired by.”

Border 2, an epic war drama, is set to hit theaters on January 23, 2026, and also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles.
