Border 2 Nears the End of Its Run, Crosses Rs 304 Crore in India

Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, is now in the final phase of its theatrical run. The military action drama added Rs 1.40 crore in its fifth weekend, holding steady despite competition from new releases Do Deewane Sheher Mein and Assi.

With this, the film’s total stands at Rs 304.35 crore nett at the Indian box office. It is expected to cross the Rs 305 crore mark by the end of its fifth week before wrapping up its run shortly after.

Based on current trends, the Sunny Deol-led film is likely to finish in the Rs 306–308 crore nett range.

A Strong Run, But Short of Gadar 2

While that’s an impressive total by most standards, Border 2 hasn’t quite matched the historic success of Deol’s previous blockbuster, Gadar 2.

At one stage, the film looked poised for a Super Hit — or even Blockbuster — verdict. However, it struggled to maintain momentum during weekdays, which limited its final box office potential.

Even so, Border 2 has secured a Clean Hit status and holds the distinction of being the first Hit film of 2026 from Hindi cinema.

Strong in the North, Mixed Elsewhere

The film has performed exceptionally well in northern circuits. Rajasthan is inching toward a Blockbuster verdict, while Delhi-UP and East Punjab have delivered Super Hit business.

Interestingly, the underperformance has come from central circuits like Gujarat and CPCI — territories that traditionally respond strongly to Sunny Deol’s brand of cinema.

Despite that, Border 2 stands as Deol’s second-highest grosser to date and marks a career-best box office performance for the rest of the ensemble cast.
