Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War has been one of the most talked-about projects in Bollywood, and for good reason. With a star-studded cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, fans have been eagerly waiting for the film, which is now eyeing an August release. Recently, rumors started swirling about delays, with speculation about creative differences between Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor making headlines. But according to insiders, there’s no truth to these reports.

The buzz around a “delay” is simply due to a planned year-end break. A source told Mid-Day: “The unit is currently on a scheduled break that was locked months ago. Bhansali films are massive productions, so any pause immediately gets mistaken for a delay.” Filming is set to resume by mid-January, focusing on patchwork, VFX-heavy sequences, and musical portions—typical for a period drama of this scale.

The original Christmas 2025 release had to be pushed back, but insiders stress there’s been no fallout between the director and the cast. “These are long, demanding shoots. Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky are fully committed to the project,” the source added. Filming is expected to wrap by the end of March, with post-production running alongside shoots for the next couple of months.

Love and War promises a dramatic love triangle, bringing real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt back on screen alongside Vicky Kaushal. With Bhansali at the helm, the film is shaping up to be a high-octane mix of romance, action, and grand spectacle, keeping fans excited for its big-screen release.
