Abhishek Bachchan Opens Up About Pressure, Partnership, and Life with Aishwarya Rai
Abhishek Bachchan has always been under the spotlight—not just as the son of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, but also as a star trying to make his own mark in Bollywood. In a recent interview, the Housefull 5 actor opened up about the pressures of carrying forward his family legacy and shared candid thoughts about his relationship with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
No Insecurity About Aishwarya’s Success
Abhishek revealed that he’s never felt insecure about being surrounded by successful people, including Aishwarya. “When my parents got married, my mom was a much bigger star than my dad,” he explained. “It was never about dominance; it was always about partnership.”
Speaking about his marriage, he said he and Aishwarya have always approached life together as equals. “Even when we started working together, we weren’t a couple yet—we were just friends. But once we came together, it was about partnership, naturally. It’s never been, ‘I handle this, you handle that.’ It just flows,” he said.
He also stressed that ego has no place in a marriage. “I don’t want to be in a situation where my wife has to stop doing something because I need to feel more of a man. Thankfully, Aishwarya doesn’t think that way either.”
Red Carpet Anxiety
Despite their strong partnership, Abhishek admitted that walking the red carpet with Aishwarya is intimidating. “It’s terrifying. She’s so professional, but I’m very awkward—like a block of wood,” he laughed.
Looking Ahead
On the professional front, Abhishek Bachchan will be seen next in Siddharth Anand’s King, sharing the screen with Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Suhana Khan.
Through it all, Abhishek’s honesty shows a relatable side of a star who, despite immense legacy and fame, values partnership, humility, and staying true to himself.
