Actors Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola have been making headlines after the actress confirmed that the two are parting ways. Now, Gaurav has reacted to the development for the first time and extended his support to Akanksha as she competes on Lock Upp 2.
Gaurav Khanna extends support to Akanksha Chamola after divorce announcement
During a paparazzi interaction, Gaurav Khanna said, “All the very best to Akanksha, for life. Main humesha uske saath khadha hoon aur usko support kar raha hoon. Woh bahut achcha kehle aur jeet ke aaye.” (I have always stood by her and supported her. I hope she performs really well and returns victorious.)
The Anupamaa actor is currently participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. When asked about Akanksha’s announcement, however, Gaurav chose not to comment on it directly.
For those unaware, Akanksha Chamola is a contestant on the latest reality show Lock Upp 2. During the premiere episode, the actress revealed that she and Gaurav Khanna had decided to part ways. She shared that they had been living separately for the past year and that the decision was mutual, adding that they had been discussing it for the past year.
During the same interaction, Akanksha clarified that there was no bitterness between her and Gaurav. She said they were still in touch but felt they were not the right partners for each other because they wanted different things in life.
Later in the show, Chamola shared that her decision not to have a child was at the centre of their separation. While explaining that she had initially been open to embracing motherhood, she said she gradually realized it was not meant for her. She added that Gaurav had initially been supportive of her decision, but his perspective changed over time and he now wanted to have children.
