Main Vaapas Aaunga wrapped its third weekend at Rs. 10.80 crore nett, dropping by just 10 per cent from the second weekend. That’s a terrific hold to say so as the film faced a much more significant competition from Welcome To The Jungle this weekend.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the romantic drama took its running cume to Rs. 43.55 crore nett in 17 days. The movie is expected to surpass the Rs. 50 crore mark, possibly by its third Wednesday or Thursday. It is like a miraculous figure when the first day was almost a crore. The movie saw immense love and appreciation from the audience, which saved it from almost a deadlock. However, the movie still needs to do a lot better to bag a Clean Hit verdict. But it’s now in a good position to be a success.

Based on its current trends, the Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina and Sharvari starrer should close its entire run around Rs. 65-70 crore nett; however, it won’t be easy. The film needs to sustain this level of collections for a couple of weeks while facing new releases. Also crucial is going to be the overseas performance, where the film is suffering from extremely limited showcasing. Given the appreciation this film has got, it could have targeted USD 4-5 million final, but now even USD 3 million will be a very good finish.

The Box Office Collections for Main Vaapas Aaunga in India are as follows:
Day Nett
Week One Rs. 11.50 cr.
Week Two Rs. 21.25 cr.
3rd Friday Rs. 2.65 cr.
3rd Saturday Rs. 4.00 cr.
3rd Sunday Rs. 4.15 cr. (est.)
Total Rs. 43.55 cr.
