Hanuman Ansh Day 23 Box Office: Against all odds, devotional drama races past Rs. 27 crore

Hanuman Ansh is witnessing a remarkable turnaround at the box office. The devotional drama, based on Neem Karoli Baba, recorded its biggest day of the run on Day 23, collecting an estimated Rs. 9.50 crore nett. This marks a massive 60 percent jump from the previous day’s Rs. 6 crore, taking its two-day fourth-weekend total to Rs. 15.50 crore.

The film is expected to witness another surge on Sunday and could close its fourth weekend at around Rs. 25 crore. This would take its overall India nett collection to approximately Rs. 37 crore.

What makes the run even more extraordinary is that Hanuman Ansh is steadily narrowing the gap with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in daily collections. On Saturday, Toxic collected around Rs. 13.50 crore, just 30 percent more than Hanuman Ansh. If the current trend continues, the devotional drama could soon begin recording higher daily collections than the much bigger release in the Hindi market.

The film’s performance is a testament to the power of word-of-mouth. Hanuman Ansh opened to just around Rs. 10 lakh nett and collected approximately Rs. 85 lakh in its first week. Its second week was even weaker as Independence Day releases took away showcasing, but the film staged an extraordinary comeback in its third week, collecting over Rs. 10 crore.

It has now reached a completely different level of momentum in its fourth week. The film has already emerged as a Clean Hit and, given its current trajectory, could potentially finish its theatrical run with a Blockbuster verdict.
